IPAMORELIN

Through pharmacological profiling using GHRP and GHRH antagonists, that ipamorelin, like GHRP-6, obviously stimulate GH the release through a GHRP-like receptor. In specific test subjects, ipamorelin released GH with a potency and efficacy comparable to GHRP-6. The same study reported that Administration of both GHRP-6 and GHRP-2 resulted in increased plasma levels of ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) and cortisol. It was well known at that during the testing that ipamorelin did not release ACTH or cortisol in levels significantly unequaled from those seen following GHRH administration, even at very high doses. This study concluded in stating that ipamorelin is the first GHRP-receptor agonist with a selectivity for GH release similar to GHRH, making it a very interesting candidate for future clinical development [2]. Another study showed that there was an increase in bone mineral content and body weight in rats following administration of Ipamorelin. Ipamorelin was even found to counteract the catabolic effects of glucocorticoid (GC) on skeletal muscles and bone in adult rate. Additionally, Ipamorelin has been found to assist and accelerate gastric emptying in rodents following postoperative ileus, which is a gastrointestinal motility. Finally, recent developments with Ipamorelin have provided better solutions that provide improved stability when stored for long periods of time.

Ipamorelin is a more recently developed GHRP (growth hormone releasing peptide), similar to GHRP-6 and GHRP-2. Ipamorelin is a synthetic peptide that has strong (GH) growth hormone releasing properties. Unlike GHRP-6, which has six peptides, Ipamorelin only has five. Ipamorelin does have similarities to GHRP-2 in that it does not have the lipogenic characeristics of ghrelin and does not increase appetite. Ipamorelin also is similar, functionally, to Hexarelin. Further, it has a much more stable form of ghrelin and has a longer half life period of about two hours long. The following effects have been noted: increase in GH levels, reduce hunger levels, and increase body weight.
